She was born on February 11, 1936, to Erastus Eugene Padgett and Ila Gertrude Green Padgett. She retired November 11, 2005, with USDA Farm Service Agency with 30 plus years of service to the farmers in Prentiss County. As a member of First Baptist Church in Booneville for over 60 years, her strong faith and church was an important foundation in her life. She was also a member of the Rebekah Sunday School Class, Sunshine Servants (WMU Group), and was Treasurer for the JoyMakers.
